Every state requires a Registered Agent for as long as the LLC exists, not only in the first year.
Annual report or franchise tax
Most states require a yearly filing and fee. Missing it can lead to late fees and the loss of good standing.
Form 5472 + pro-forma Form 1120
A single-member LLC owned by a non-US person must file every year, even without income. The IRS penalty for a missing or late Form 5472 is $25,000.
